A standard gorilla trekking permit allows visitors to spend one hour with a fully habituated gorilla family in either Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Uganda hosts 17 habituated gorilla families—16 in Bwindi and 1 in Mgahinga—providing 136 permits daily.

Uganda also offers the unique Gorilla Habituation Experience, available exclusively in Bwindi. USD 1,500 per person – Gorilla Habituation Permit.
