Day 1: Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After pickup from your hotel or Kigali International Airport, begin your Rwanda adventure with a guided Kigali City Tour. Visit key landmarks including the Imbuga Walk Center and the moving Kigali Genocide Memorial, offering deep insight into Rwanda’s history and resilience. After lunch, drive north through Rwanda’s scenic countryside to Volcanoes National Park. In the afternoon, enjoy an optional visit to the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund or immerse yourself in local traditions at Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience

Wake up early for breakfast and depart by 6:30 AM with your driver-guide to the park headquarters. At 7:00 AM, attend a ranger briefing before being assigned a gorilla family to track. Venture deep into the rainforest for an awe-inspiring mountain gorilla trekking experience, coming face-to-face with these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After the trek, your driver-guide will meet you at the starting point and transfer you back to the lodge for lunch, relaxation, and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trek & Return to Kigali

Enjoy an early breakfast before another 6:30 AM pickup and transfer to the park offices for briefing at 7:00 AM. Today’s adventure features golden monkey trekking, a fun and energetic encounter with these playful primates in the bamboo forests. After the trek, head to Musanze City for lunch, then enjoy a scenic drive back to Kigali City or Kigali International Airport, marking the end of your incredible Rwanda safari.
