Itinerary

Morning Pick-Up – Kigali or En Route to Akagera National Park
Your journey begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel, residence, or preferred location in Kigali. Enjoy a scenic drive toward the eastern savannahs of Akagera National Park.

Stop 1: Bashana Companies & Imigongo Art Center – Kayonza

Duration: 15 minutes
Take a short cultural break at the Imigongo Art Center, known for its traditional geometric artwork. Enjoy coffee, use restrooms, browse local crafts, or grab a light snack before continuing the trip.

Stop 2: Akagera National Park – Park Reception

On arrival, complete registration at the park reception. After clearance, begin your classic African safari adventure through Akagera’s diverse landscapes spotting elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, buffaloes, and abundant birdlife in their natural habitat.

Lunch Stop: Lake Mihindi

Recharge and enjoy either a hot lunch or a packed lunch, depending on your preference. The beautiful setting at Lake Mihindi offers a perfect mid-day break during your safari.
