Day 1: Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Morning Pick-up: Anywhere in Kigali, followed by a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a place of remembrance for the 250,000 victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. The museum provides a moving insight into Rwanda’s tragic history and its journey toward reconciliation and development.

Drive to Musanze: After the memorial, enjoy a scenic 2–2.5 hour drive to Musanze City, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park, home to mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. Travel in a comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle with Wi-Fi connectivity.

Stopover: Relax and enjoy lunch, coffee, and snacks at SŌOKO Xperiences.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Transfer Back to Kigali

Early Morning: Wake up and have breakfast while your driver-guide prepares for the trek. Travel to the RDB Headquarters in Kinigi for a mandatory briefing at 7:00 AM. Here, you’ll learn important guidelines on how to interact safely with gorillas and what to carry during the trek.

Gorilla Trekking: Rangers guide you through the lush forest to track your assigned gorilla family. Trekking can take 2–6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. Spend 1 hour observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Porters are available to assist with extra luggage.

Lunch Stop: Enjoy a hot meal at Migano Cafe, Musanze, before beginning your return journey to Kigali.

Return to Kigali: Arrive at your hotel or Kigali International Airport in the evening.
